What I do

I work one-to-one with adults, using the principles and methods of Integrative Transactional Analysis. This means we look together at the patterns you learned early in life — how you came to relate to yourself and others, the roles you learned to play, and the beliefs you formed about what's possible for you. We also pay close attention to what happens between us in the room, since the therapeutic relationship itself is one of the clearest places these patterns show up — and one of the safest places to begin shifting them.

Typical goals

People come to this work for many reasons, but often it centers on:

• Making sense of a life transition, loss, or turning point

• Understanding recurring patterns in relationships or self-criticism

• Reconnecting with a sense of choice and agency, rather than feeling stuck on autopilot

• Processing grief, change, or unresolved experiences from the past

• Building a more honest, less defended relationship with yourself

Guiding principles

Transactional Analysis rests on a few core beliefs I return to often:

• You are OK, and so am I. Neither of us needs to be "fixed" — we're working from a place of mutual respect, not hierarchy.

• You have the capacity to think for yourself and decide what's right for your own life.

• Change is possible. The patterns we learned early on were adaptive once — they can also be revised.

Because my approach is integrative, I also draw on trauma-informed practice, dream and archetypal work, and mindfulness-based approaches where they're useful.

Practicalities

Sessions are 50 minutes, typically weekly to begin. I work in Slovene and English, online or occasionally in person in Slovenia and Ferney-Voltaire, near Geneva.
